Anxiety & Worry Be Gone!
If you have ever experienced anxiety, I feel for you. I know first-hand how debilitating it can be.
Along with all of the common challenges that anxiety brings, it also sends your psyche and spiritual equilibrium out of balance when it takes hold. And well, if you experience a severe case of anxiety, it can spread like a cold. You are vulnerable to new attacks, and it takes weeks before you fully regain your equilibrium. The negative implications of anxiety on your physical, physiological, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being are so profound that if you suffer from it, you would be wise to take rest, recovery, and prevention strategies seriously.
There is so much information that you can find online about the practical steps that you can take to support yourself at these times. I strongly recommend that you research these steps, so that you can manage your anxiety well. It can be prevented, or at the very least, the frequency and intensity of the attacks can be reduced. Your research can start here though, because I’ve created a little ‘magick’ that you can practice that will support you at these times.
I recommend that you make these practices a regular occurrence in your everyday schedule because prevention is better than cure (yes … I know that’s a cliche – but it’s true).
Well, dear reader, let’s not keep you waiting any longer – here’s my magickal anxiety prevention and recovery package prepared just for you…
1: Make Good Use Of Anti-Anxiety Crystals, Herbs, Oils & Cleansing Rituals.
Good Crystals To Use For Anxiety:
- Citrine (cleansing)
- Amethyst (protective)
- Hematite (grounding)
Good Herbs And Oils:
- Lavender (relaxing)
- Basil (courage & protection)
- Chamomile (soothing)
Simple Cleansing Rituals for Anxiety:
- Keep your space clean, clear and tidy, open the windows and let fresh air in.
- Put salt in the corners of your rooms, clap, or use a singing bowl, or smudge stick to clear the energy there.
2: Use This Spell For Banishing Worry and Anxiety
- 1 x Black Candle
- 1 x Paper
- 1 x Pen
- Something To Light The Candle
1) Cleanse your space and cast your circle of protection.
2) Draw a pentacle on the paper.
3) Place the paper in the centre of your altar (or space where you are working).
4) Light the candle
5) As the candle is burning, chant the following;
“I call on powers far and near
To banish all that’s not welcome here.
Use this candle, use this charm,
To banish all that would cause harm.
This I ask, that you may
Send unwanted harm away.”
6) As you are chanting, imagine all of the anxiety, fear and negativity dissolving.
3: Create a Magickal Anti-Anxiety Bath
- ¼ Cup of chamomile flowers
- ¼ Cup of hibiscus
- ¼ Cup of lavender flowers
- ½ Cup of sea salt
Run a nice bath, and infuse it with the above ingredients, get in and enjoy the vibe! If you want to take it up a level, chant some positive affirmations (if you can make them rhyme, even better!).
Note: Hibiscus flowers may stain (you could try infusing the flowers first and then putting the infused water into your bath).
4: Use This Magical Anxiety-Cleansing Chant
The best time to do this is in the shower:
“I cleanse myself of negative feelings
I wash away my selfishness
I wash away my self-doubting
I wash away my negative thinking of others
I wash away jealousy
I bathe myself in happiness
I allow self-acceptance into myself
I feel gratitude for all that I have
I will practice acceptance of others and will not judge”
4: Use This Simple Spell To Protect You From Your Worries and Anxieties
- 1 White Candle (optional)
- Any of your preferred crystals.
Light the candle and then chant the following:
“The Light of protection I carry is strong
No ill wishes, or trouble can come along
You cannot harm me, or weaken my soul
My light is my weapon and peace is my goal”.
Chant this three times, regularly and at the end say ‘so mote it be’.
5: Meditate, And Keep A Journal
Whilst I recognise that it is hard to meditate when you are anxious, meditation is by far one of the most profound techniques for managing anxiety, endorsing your spells and maintaining equilibrium. If you don’t practice meditation regularly, trying to do so at times of anxiety will be difficult, which is why it’s extremely beneficial to make practicing meditation a daily occurrence (even if it’s just for ten minutes per day).
Maintaining a journal is also highly beneficial because you will start to keep a record of your thoughts (and patterns of thought!). Writing uncensored in a journal, will help you to express yourself, and will also highlight any repetitive thoughts that might be causing you anxiety. If you are aware of these thoughts then you can change them and that’s magic in itself!
